Councillor Linda Watt

A Practical, Independent Voice

It is one of the greatest privileges of my life to serve the residents of West Vancouver.

I approach issues with curiosity, independence, and an open mind. I ask difficult questions, listen carefully, and place the long-term interests of our community ahead of politics.

Thoughtful local government isn't measured by how quickly decisions are made, but by whether they stand the test of time. Housing, transportation, infrastructure, environmental stewardship and financial responsibility are interconnected. It is imperative that we consider all factors, before making decisions that will forever change the quality of life in West Vancouver.

I value the diversity of perspectives around the Council table. While we don't always agree, I believe a strong Council is one where differing viewpoints are welcomed, respectfully debated, and ultimately lead to better decisions for our community.

West Vancouver is a Special Place

Our mountains, forests, creeks and shoreline shape more than our landscape—they shape how we live, how we plan, and the responsibility we share to care for this extraordinary community.

We are all just passing through. Whether we call West Vancouver home for ten years or one hundred, we are temporary stewards of a place unlike any other.

The choices we make today will shape the West Vancouver our children and grandchildren inherit. That responsibility has guided every decision I've made on Council, and it is why I am asking for the opportunity to continue serving our community.
